about

Something to read to, something to contemplate to, something to meditate to, something to just lounge about on the couch/sofa to.

Recorded on the Saturday evening so you can have your Sunday morning ambience early on, tea in hand.

This is a long one, clocking in a twenty five minutes. You could read a book in that time.

There are string sounds here but it's all coming from the same instrument, it's just pedal based jiggery pokery. For anyone who is interested how then please look at the technical notes below.

Work continues on the "actual" album, the one with pieces of music on it. The trial run of recording the calm ocean was a disaster made up of wind, driving rain and a not calm ocean. Fortunately, it was a trial run.

Technical notes:
Morley volume pedal, Digitech Whammy Pedal, Electro Harmonix Mel 9, SFX SP-2 Preamp, Analogman BiComprossor, TC Electronic SCF Gold Chorus/Modulation/Flanger and a TC Hall of Fame Reverb. All going into the Phil Jones Bass HA-2 preamp/audio interface.

In the trunk so many pedals.... The Mel9 has been in the trunk for a long while, not really getting out much. I fancied some strings so it made perfect sense. To be fair you nearly got the high angels instead instead but the strings were nicer on the ear for this.
